AN APPLE A DAY AT YOUR LOCAL CAFÉ

The Café Collective is passionate about implementing and championing the Healthy Options WA Policy. Healthy food has always been an intrinsic part of our operation, from the design of our stores, to our menus and food and beverage displays. 
Our goal is to create welcoming spaces where quality, home made food is served in an inviting manner. 
Abundant fresh fruit for our made to order juices are displayed alongside crisp, overflowing salads to mix and match as the customer chooses. 
Hearty, authentic sushi and noodles that are as healthy as they are delicious, home made bakes and sandwiches that are filling and tasty, without the need for butter, rich sauces or excessive oil. 
Many of our kitchens have omitted deep fryers altogether, allowing us to focus on the styles of food we love best – fresh, homemade and delicious. 
We do not buy our products in or store them hidden away in glad wrap. We are proud of everything we make on site daily and show case it in abundant displays in every store. We will not promote “red” items in our cafes and are always working to encourage our staff and customers to make better, healthier choices.  
The Café Collective’s General Manager, Adrian Mule, is a member of the WA Canteen Association and is actively involved in the implementation and audit of each state’s health eating policy, as well as our own operational policies amongst our stores. 
He has worked closely with South Metropolitan Health and the WA Canteen Association to develop and implement policies that empower customers to make healthy choices and are practical to implement in any hospitality venue.
He has also implemented our own internal self audits across stores to ensure we are compliant with healthy eating policies at all times.
It is important to us to not only drive these initiatives in our stores, but to create new and exciting ways to encourage healthy eating in future as well.
